1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains whether the Lumessariovelle website uses cookies or similar browser-storage technologies, what purposes such technologies may serve, and what choices are available to visitors. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

The current website is intentionally lightweight and does not use advertising trackers, audience-profiling cookies, or third-party front-end libraries. The ordinary public pages do not require non-essential cookies to display their content. Where European Union rules apply, any future optional storage or tracking technology will be assessed against the consent and transparency requirements that operate alongside the GDPR and applicable ePrivacy rules.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text record that a website can ask a browser to store and return during later requests. Similar technologies can store information in the browser for interface settings or other limited purposes. Some cookies disappear when a browser session ends; others may remain until their expiry date or until the visitor removes them.

3. Current use on Lumessariovelle

At the date shown above, the public Lumessariovelle pages do not intentionally set advertising, behavioural-profiling, or third-party analytics cookies. Navigation, page styling, locally stored images, the contact-form interaction, and the loading of organisation details from the local adress.json file do not require a marketing cookie.

The contact form uses browser-side scripting to provide an on-page acknowledgement. It is not designed to place a tracking cookie as part of that interaction.

4. Strictly necessary technologies

A hosting or security layer may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms where they are required to deliver a requested page, balance traffic, prevent abuse, or maintain basic security. Where such a mechanism is genuinely necessary for a service requested by the visitor, it is treated differently from optional advertising or measurement technology under applicable rules.

If the website’s hosting configuration introduces such a mechanism, it should be limited to what is necessary for that technical function and retained only as long as appropriate for that purpose.

5. Optional technologies and consent

If the site later adds optional measurement, personalisation, or similar technologies that require consent, those technologies should not be activated before the required choice is obtained. The relevant notice should identify the purpose clearly enough for a visitor to make an informed decision, and a refusal should be as straightforward as acceptance where required by applicable law.

Any future optional technology should also be reflected in an updated version of this Policy before or when the feature is introduced.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers provide settings for viewing, deleting, limiting, or blocking cookies. The exact controls depend on the browser and device. Blocking all browser storage can affect functions on sites that rely on it, although the current Lumessariovelle public pages are designed to remain usable without optional tracking cookies.

7. Retention and data associated with cookies

If a necessary cookie or optional technology is introduced in the future, its retention period should be proportionate to its purpose. Information generated from such technology, if it is personal information, will be handled under the retention and rights provisions of the Privacy Policy.

8. Policy updates

This Policy may be updated when the site’s technical functions change or when applicable requirements develop. The update date at the top of the page identifies the current version. A material introduction of optional tracking technology would require corresponding changes to this notice and, where required, an appropriate consent mechanism.
